What is a good broadway song to sing for the talent part of a pageant?

I'm going to be in a local pageant here and I wanted to sing a song from a broadway play for my talent. I was thinking of singing "Popular" from Wicked but my mom told me that's a bad idea because it seems egotistical but I really like the song and I want to sing it. Is it a good song to sing if not what is your recommendation?
